West Coast Kick-Off!  

Building on the success of our Alternative Break in Newark over the past 3 years,  Break A Difference is excited to launch our first program on the West Coast in partnership with the West Contra Costa Salesians Boys & Girls Club (WCCS BGC)!  As a Break A Difference volunteer, you will provide much needed to support to the staff of the WCCS BGC, an after-school program that serves low-income families.  More importantly, you will have the opportunity to forge amazing relationships with the kids in the club and other student volunteers from across the country!  
Quick Info:

Volunteer Service Projects: Working directly with kids in after-school programs, painting, cleaning & organizing program spaces

Program Capacity:  70 volunteers per week

Are meals provided?:  Yes

Is housing provided?: Yes

Participation Fee: $300 + $50 non-refundable deposit at registration

Daily Schedule Snapshot: Aside from arrival and departure days, each day will include the following-
  • Breakfast
  • Group service projects
  • Lunch
  • Organized activities
  • Team meeting/reflection
  • Dinner & Town Hall meeting
