The Maryland Book Bank (MBB) is a Baltimore-based nonprofit organization committed to cultivating literacy in children from under-resourced neighborhoods. MBB believes that all children deserve the resources needed to enrich the mind, encourage success, and instill a lifetime love of reading.
Break A Difference website
Break A Difference's (BAD) mission is to inspire volunteerism and a lifelong commitment to being more civically engaged. They accomplish this by expanding the capacity of partner nonprofits to coordinate transformative, intentional, & well-organized volunteer programs. BAD is partnering with the 2022 NASPA Annual Conference and Maryland Book Bank to make volunteering and donating more accessible & transformative for conference attendees virtually and in-person.
$25 Provides a Story Kit for one child.
$45 Provides a membership for one teacher.
$100 Provides 15 Story Kits to children in Baltimore.
$250 Provides Educator Boxes for 10 teachers.
$500 Provides 200 books featuring characters of color.
